DIY Buckets
DIY buckets are seasonal flowers picked and placed into a bucket of water as loose stems. This allows you the freedom to design your own arrangements with beautiful fresh locally grown flowers. The bucket is a black 5 litre round bucket (23cm high, 20cm diameter).
DIY buckets start at $50 each.
If more than one bucket is ordered, full pre-payment is required to secure the order.
The volume of flower stems depends on the variety of flowers available and their cost as a flower. If you have a particular colour palette in mind, let me know!
Weddings
Special flowers for weddings are available, but limited - please contact me for specific dates.
Cut flower care
Below are some simple tips on how to care for your cut flowers so you can enjoy your farm fresh bunch for a bit longer.
Inspect your vessel that you are going to put your flowers in. Ensure that it is very clean - clean enough that you would drink water out of it.
Before placing your flowers in a vase, cut off 1-2cm from the bottom of the stems diagonally. This will allow the flowers a greater surface area to absorb the water.
Remove any foliage that is in the water of the vase. This will help prevent any bacterial growth.
Every 2-3 days, replace the water with clean fresh water, remove any dead flower heads or stems, and trim off another 1-2cm from the base of the stems.
Place your cut flowers somewhere where they won’t receive direct sunlight, heat or draughts. If possible, do not place them next to your fruit bowl as fruit can release ethane gas which will shorten the lifespan of your arrangement.
